Diversity is essential to creating collaborative yet challenging growth environments for students. However, a diverse background of students also requires that these groups of students have mentors and guides who can aid them in the college experience. Data shows that while the white population on campus is proportionally served, students from minority backgrounds do not receive the same representation from mentors. I used the visual of the classic style milk carton, which used to display information of missing persons to demonstrate how certain types of professors are missing and dearly needed to accurately represent the student population.
