For more than 20 years, Information Architecture Conference has hosted a 3-day, live-broadcast featuring talks, keynotes, and live Q&A sessions on a variety of topics. The Conference attracts practitioners and academics who confront the systemic challenge of creating and managing digital user interfaces and rich information environments. Rich information environments such as sketchnotes that a select few are invited to submit to be featured in the Conference each year.

What are Sketchnotes?
Sketchnotes are visual notes that comprise of drawings, hand written typography, and decorative elements like arrows and boxes. They can be created regardless of your drawing abilities and can help engage your mind as you're looking for new ways to express information. I learned sketchnotes greatly expanded how long I was able to retain information because the information was now associated with an image.
Disinformation of Japanese Wikipedia

Japan is no stranger to internet censorship and their Wikipedia page is no exception. Japan is guilty of historical revisionism where they change historic events to minimize the backlash of their actions. (to save face for what they've done). In this conference, Yumiko Sato, published author & disinformation specialist, explores why this occurs and the detrimental effects the Japanese Wikipedia could have if left unchecked.

Not only were some plagued by uncertainty and declines in their mental health, but team leaders were also responsible for maintaining the spirit of their team. Martina Hodges-Schell & Alberta Soranzo discuss how the remote leader, while weighed down by their own troubles can still lead an effective and thriving team dynamic.
